The 2023 FFForce Championnats de France Juniors de Force Athlétique took place on April 8, 2023, in Nancy, France. In the Junior division, 69-kilogram powerlifter Samantha Eugenie scored two Junior raw national records in the deadlift and total en route to gold.
Eugenie’s deadlift and total are heavier than the IPF Junior world records, however they are not recognized as world records as they were performed in national competition rather than on an international stage. Below are Eugenie’s results:

Eugenie’s mixed grip raw sumo deadlift of 220.5 kilograms (496.1 pounds) surpassed Clara Peyraud’s current IPF Junior raw world record by 2.5 kilograms. Since Peyraud is also French, it means that Eugenie’s new Junior raw deadlift national record is more than Peyraud’s IPF Junior raw deadlift world record.
