Heber Cannon is one of the fitness industry’s most well know and prolific filmmakers. He spent nearly a decade at CrossFit HQ filming, directing, and producing some of competitive CrossFit’s earliest and most well-known pieces of video content. That also includes fan-favorite CrossFit Games documentaries and behind-the-scenes looks at the competition floor.
Now, as one half of the dynamic fitness video duo Buttery Bros, Heber is continuing in that tradition. Their inside look at the 2019 CrossFit Games, titled simply “The Fittest”, recently received a rare early release on multiple platforms. In the video below, Heber joins BarBend co-founder David Thomas Tao to talk about the community movement that pushed “The Fittest” to an unprecedented early release and how the COVID-19 pandemic is impacting his filmmaking and the industry in general.
