Talk about a woman on the go.
Whether it’s her infectious laugh or her on-the-spot athlete interviews at events around the world, if you’re a fan of CrossFit, there’s no doubt you know Lauren Kalil.
Constantly traveling from her home base in Syracuse, NY, where she podcasts, Kalil has produced content from as far as Dubai, UAE, and across Europe, as well as from locations throughout the United States.
Lately, Kalil has been spending a lot of her time at the Tactical Games.
She recently returned from Texas, where she also competed in the event, and shared her busy days surrounding the event, as well as what helped her get through it all – FITAID.
- “The Tactical Games are only a two-day competition – I’m only away for a few days – so I try really hard to bring a carry-on,” Kalil told the Morning Chalk Up.
Keeping up with your fitness while traveling requires planning, and Kalil is grateful that FITAID is taking a lot of the work out of it with their new Essentials line, which offers powdered Creatine and three Essential Vitamins.
FITAID recently launched three flavors of powdered creatine (unflavored, Fuji Apple, and Watermelon Rush), all made with CreaPure, as well as three vitamins: B-Complex, D3+K2, and Magnesium Bisglycinate.
The vitamins are all bioavailable and come from an NSF Certified & Informed Sport Certified facility.
Kalil is amped about both releases, especially the creatine.
- “I have been taking creatine for over 10 years, and it is a staple in my routine.”
Kalil recently learned that creatine is one of those supplements you should take, even on rest days – it’s a supplement you want to keep in your system to see the best results.
- “I have been drinking FITAID since I walked into a CrossFit gym in 2016, and I think it’s a testament to the integrity of the brand that now they’re able to expand in this supplement department and have one of the most researched supplements to prove improvements when it comes to building muscle.
She’s also excited that the creatine is sold in a soft bag, making it much easier to transport during travel.
- “Unfortunately, normally when I travel, creatine is not something that I bring with me because the tubs of it are not really travel-friendly,” Kalil said.
She also loves the added vitamins, too, especially for her on-the-go lifestyle. Supplementing her lifestyle is vital when no day looks the same.
- “Whether it’s getting on planes that are filled with germs or crossing through multiple time zones – going from East Coast to West Coast to Europe – your immune system is at such risk,” she said.
Kalil continued, “Also, I’m up at 4 a.m. for the Tactical Games. I need the supplements that are going to help my gut health and are going to help my immune system.”
- “I can’t call in sick and have somebody else pick up my slack, like if I’m not at the event, my job doesn’t get done, and it impacts everybody else that’s involved.”
Kalil takes B Complex and Magnesium daily and is excited to see how D3 + K2, a supplement that supports bone and heart health, will fit into her lifestyle.
When Kalil packs her bag for the Tactical Games or any event, the routine is the same.
- “Those individual packets of FITAID are amazing – I always keep them in my carry-ons.”
And now, with the creation of creatine and vitamins, Kalil will have a space for them in her backpack next to her FITAID on-the-go powder packets.
- “I am not a full-time athlete – I love to go into the gym and hit a hard workout, but I also want to hit my work just as hard, and taking these supplements and being able to have FITAID in my corner is just a staple in my life.”
Head over to FITAID to explore the new supplements designed to support your unique lifestyle. Balance begins here.
