Men’s Open Athletes to Watch

Below are three of the likeliest Men’s Open competitors to perform well in first callouts:

Michal Krizanek

Krizanek is recognized as one of the top 15 bodybuilders in the world thanks to his 12th-place finish at the 2022 Mr. Olympia contest. After dominating the competition in the rival IFBB Elite Pro, Krizanek made the jump to the IFBB Pro League in 2022.

Krizanek has one win to his credit: the 2022 Prague Pro. This will be his 2023 season debut.

Andrea Presti

Presti joined Krizanek on the Mr. Olympia stage in 2022, but he placed outside the top 15. He won the Mr. Big Evolution Pro show in 2022 and 2021 —his only two pro wins of his six-season-long career thus far. This will also be his first appearance of 2023.

Emir Omeragic

Omeragic has competed once in 2023, placing third at the 2023 Arnold Classic South America contest. He was fifth at the 2022 edition of that contest and placed sixth at the 2022 New York Pro.

Wellness Athletes to Watch

The Wellness roster is deep in Spain, and the three athletes below are likely to contest for the podium:

Sandra Colorado Acal

Acal has already qualified for the 2023 Wellness Olympia with her Toronto Pro Supershow title from June 4, 2023. If she wins this show, no Olympia qualification will be awarded. In 2023, only contest winners advance to the Olympia.

Leonida Ciobu

Moldova’s Leonida Ciobu ranked ninth at the 2022 Wellness Olympia. She won the 2022 Romania Muscle Fest Pro show as well. She was second in this contest one year ago to winner Synara Santana, who is not in the lineup in 2023.

Ana Amante

Amante will make her IFBB Pro League debut at this show. She earned her pro status at the 2023 NPC Worldwide Ben Weider Classic Spain show, where she won the overall Wellness championship.
