2023 England’s Strongest Man and Strongest Woman Results

Patrick Haynes and Naomi Hadley were victorious in Warrington, UK.

The 2023 England’s Strongest Man (ESM) and 2023 England’s Strongest Woman (ESW) contests were held on Aug. 27, 2023, in Warrington, UK. The contest featured 12 and eight of the country’s top strongmen and strongwomen, respectively. Patrick Haynes emerged victorious among the men, and Naomi Hadley stood atop the podium for the women.

Although the single-day contests were held in tandem, the events were not the same. The 2023 ESM featured the Húsafell Stone, Tyre Super Yoke, Kratos Bar Deadlift for Reps, Anvil Farmer’s Walk, and the Log Ladder. The 2023 ESW featured the Húsafell Stone, Block Press, Max Deadlift, Wolves Pit, and Farmer’s Walk. Below are the results for both contests:

Húsafell Stone

The Húsafell Stone weighed 187 kilograms. Athletes had 75 seconds to carry it as far as possible.

  4. Max Searby — 54.68 meters
  5. Lewis Packham â€” 54.2 meters

  9. Josh Norton â€” 41.6 meters

Tyre Super Yoke

The yoke weighed 350 kilograms. Each strongman had to walk the yoke two lengths of the 20-meter course as fast as possible. They were allowed to drop the yoke at the turning point halfway.

Each athlete attempted to pull 320 kilograms for as many reps as possible in the 75-second time cap.

This event was for reps with a 50-kilogram implement.
