The clock ticks down: The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France begin in less than a year. With such little time remaining in the quad, the best weightlifters in the world have converged upon Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the 2023 International Weightlifting Federation’s (IWF) World Weightlifting Championships (WWC).
The 2023 WWC is more than “just” another international weightlifting event. It’s the first of two mandatory competitions for Paris hopefuls who wish to make it to the most prestigious stage in sport.
