2024 Rogue Strongman Invitational Deadlift Ladder Recap
Luke Stoltman was the first strongman to the floor for an 800-pound opener. The hometown hero claimed out to a huge pop from the crowd and got them hyped with a successful lift. Kordiyaka matched it for his opener.
Hoath chalked his hands to lift third and opened cleanly at 820 pounds, as did Evans. Stoltman returned for his second attempt, locking out 840 pounds. Reigning three-time World’s Strongest Man (WSM) champion Tom Stoltman opened well at 850 pounds.
Singleton called for 875 pounds as his opener and wasted no time standing up with it. Ragg stepped in and matched Singleton’s opener. Hoath’s second attempt was at 875, and both attempts failed. Evans had no issues with 875, nor did Tom Stoltman.
Hoath tried 875 again since the rules stated that the weight could not go down, but he failed to move it from the floor. Evans closed out event one with 905 pounds and hitched it to lockout — a competition personal best.
Tom Stoltman attempted 905 but waived it off when it wouldn’t move. Hooper made a statement with a clean 925-pound opener. Thompson locked out 925, as did Björnsson. Singleton gripped and ripped 925 pounds with tremendous speed. Ragg wasn’t long behind, matching 925.
Thompson’s second attempt at 950 pounds wouldn’t move and waved to the crowd. Singleton finished on a 950-pound attempt that wouldn’t go. Ragg gripped that same barbell for his second attempt and locked it out.
Hooper’s second attempt successfully leaped 50 pounds. Björnsson closed the session with a 1,010-pound lift to seal the event win.
