The 2024 Teenage CrossFit Games by Pit Teen Throwdown wrapped after a three-day competition over Labor Day weekend.
- This was the first year that the competition was held separate from the other divisions, with an event devoted solely to the young athletes.
In addition to the Teenage CrossFit Games, the Pit Fitness Ranch hosted the Pit Teen Throwdown and the Collegiate Throwdown — two competitions unrelated to the Games that allowed more teens and young people to compete in an event that hosted athletes from all over the world.
Four teens were crowned, two from each age division, after the leaderboards fluctuated all weekend.
Here are some highlights:

Fittest Teens on Earth
Teenage phenom Keira McManus, out of the UK, took to the top podium spot in the Girls 14-15 division. While this age group hosts many Games rookies, McManus was a Semifinal, Age Group Quarterfinal, and Open rookie this year as well.
- Throughout the season, she took first place in every single stage and ended the weekend with two event wins.
Reese Littlewood, the Girls 16-17 champion, has appeared at the Teenage CrossFit Games three times. This was her second time competing in this age division, but it was her first time on the podium.
From CrossFit Phoenixville in Pennsylvania, Littlewood snagged one event win over the weekend and never finished an event lower than 10th place.
- This is Littlewood’s last year in this division, and she will have to compete as an Individual next season. Perhaps Littlewood is an Emma Lawson or an Alexis Raptis in the making?
This was champion Pablo Tronchon’s second and final year competing in the Boys 14-15 division and his first year on the podium. Out of France, Tronchon finished first in the Semifinals earlier this year and first in the Open. He won Event 2, which was a sprint with D-ball squat cleans and carries, and Event 3, an Olympic weightlifting total.
- He snatched 97 kilos/213 pounds and clean and jerked 118 kilos/260 pounds. And folks, he’s 15.
The Boys 16-17 champion RJ Mestre has four years of Games experience under his belt and now has won both teenage divisions after winning the 14-15 age group in 2022
Mestre finished with three event wins this year, more than anyone else on the podium.
- The young PRVN athlete, coached by Dwight Upshaw, posted on Instagram that he’s ready to make his mark on the Individual competition next year, and we can’t wait to see it and cheer him on.

Finishing behind Littlewood in the Girls 16-17 division were Elsie Larson in second and Ireland’s Lucy McGonigle in third.
McGonigle has been competing as a teen for three seasons and also competed as an individual in the Semifinals this year and last. Both girls will age out of the division for the 2025 season.
Notable Performances
Tayah Bebzuck Marom, a two-time Games competitor and silver medalist at this year’s Wodapalooza, surprised herself and the crowd with some lifting PRs in Event 3.
- When we spoke with her coach, Michele Letendre, back at Wodapalooza in January, she expressed how much she loves working with Bebzuck Marom, and how her level of maturity and drive is unusual for an athlete her age.
Former rugby player from the UK, Lewin Tubuna, competed last weekend and finished in fifth place. Tubuna shared his gratitude for his support crew on social media:
- “The best experience of my life. Thank you to all who helped make my CrossFit Games what it was. The support I received is second to none, from those at home watching every step of the way, to the handful who came to watch me in America. I’ve made friends for life and came away with lots of learned lessons… Once again, thank you everyone.”
In the Girls 14-15 division, there was a tie for fifth place, as Leticia Cerqueira and Zoe Fiala both finished with 470 points. Cerqueira had four top-10 finishes, and Fiala had six. Both girls will move up to the 16-17 division next year.
