2025 Armory City Cup Strongman Results

Nine Russian athletes battled in five events.

The 2025 Armory City Cup contest occurred on May 24, 2025, in Tula, Russia. The competition featured nine of its countrymen clashing through five events: Dumbbell Medley, Sandbag Toss, Log Lift, Yoke & Farmer’s Carry Medley, and the Max Deadlift.

Valentin Akimov scored the overall gold with 39.5 of a possible 45 points. He outranked runner-up Alexander Klokov by 1.5 points and bronze medalist Dmitry Logunov by four points.

  2. Alexander Klokov — 38 points
  3. Dmitry Logunov — 35.5 points
  4. Roman Druzhinin — 33 points
  5. Egor Makarov — 27 points
  6. Yulian Kuznetsov — 16.5 points
  7. Vladlen Valyaev — 15.5 points
  8. Pavel Ivashkin — 15 points
  9. Matvei Mohonko — Four points

2025 Armory City Cup Event Results

Below are the results for each of the five events contested in Tula:

Dumbbell Medley

The Dumbbell medley comprised four implements weighing 80, 90, 100, and 110 kilograms.

  1. Alexander Klokov — Four in 31.87 seconds
  2. Roman Druzhinin — Four in 39.25 seconds
  3. Dmitry Logunov — Four in 59.87 seconds
  4. Valentin Akimov — Three in 24.18 seconds
  5. Egor Makarov — Three in 27.39 seconds
  6. Vladlen Valyaev — Three in 49.18 seconds
  7. Pavel Ivashkin — Two in 15.18 seconds
  8. Yulian Kuznetsov — One in 4.95 seconds
  9. Matvei Mohonko — One in 9.96 seconds

Sandbag Toss

Athletes tossed a 16-kilogram bag for distance.

  1. Valentin Akimov — 11.1 meters
  2. Alexander Klokov — 10.11 meters
  3. Dmitry Logunov — 9.84 meters
  4. Roman Druzhinin — 8.33 meters
  5. Yulian Kuznetsov — 8.22 meters
  6. Egor Makarov — 7.62 meters
  7. Pavel Ivashkin — 7.32 meters
  8. Vladlen Valyaev — 6.24 meters
  9. Matvei Mohonko — 4.96 meters

Log Lift

Athletes could lift either 120 or 150 kilograms for reps within the 60-second time allotment.

  1. Valentin Akimov — Four reps, 150 kilograms
  2. Alexander Klokov — Three reps, 150 kilograms (T-second)
  3. Dmitry Logunov — Three reps, 150 kilograms (T-second)
  4. Roman Druzhinin — Three reps, 150 kilograms (T-second)
  5. Egor Makarov — Three reps, 150 kilograms (T-second)
  6. Yulian Kuznetsov — Four reps, 120 kilograms
  7. Vladlen Valyaev — Three reps, 120 kilograms
  8. Pavel Ivashkin — One rep, 120 kilograms
  9. Matvei Mohonko — no lift

Yoke & Farmer’s Carry Medley

Athletes traversed a 330-kilogram yoke and a 130-kilogram farmer’s carry for 20 meters each.

  1. Alexander Klokov — 18.37 seconds
  2. Valentin Akimov — 24.34 seconds
  3. Roman Druzhinin — 24.91 seconds
  4. Dmitry Logunov — 29.57 seconds
  5. Pavel Ivashkin — 39.07 seconds
  6. Egor Makarov — 31.53 meters
  7. Yulian Kuznetsov — 22.47 meters
  8. Vladlen Valyaev — 23.9 meters
  9. Matvei Mohonko — 13.5 meters

Max Deadlift

Each strongman established their max deadlift.

  1. Dmitry Logunov — 380 kilograms
  2. Valentin Akimov — 360 kilograms (T-second)
  3. Egor Makarov — 360 kilograms (T-second)
  4. Alexander Klokov — 320 kilograms (T-third)
  5. Roman Druzhinin — 320 kilograms (T-third)
  6. Yulian Kuznetsov — 300 kilograms (T-sixth)
  7. Vladlen Valyaev — 300 kilograms (T-sixth)
  8. Pavel Ivashkin — 280 kilograms
  9. Matvei Mohonko — 260 kilograms
