2025 Bristol’s Strongest Man Results

The 2025 Bristol’s Strongest Man (BSM) contest occurred on March 22, 2025, in Bristol, United Kingdom. The contest featured six strongmen in the Open division battling through five events: Press Medley, Super Yoke Medley, Deadlift, Wheelbarrow Medley, and Sandbag Shouldering.

Tom Pearson stood atop the podium scoring 26 of a possible 30 points. He bested runner-up Jimmy Ryan by a single point. Bronze medalist Jack Carter-Taylor edged out Joel Lees-Massey by a half-point to reach the podium.

2025 Bristol’s Strongest Man Results

  1. Tom Pearson — 26 points
  2. Jimmy Ryan — 25 points
  3. Jack Carter-Taylor — 18 points
  4. Joel Lees-Massey — 17.5 points
  5. Ed Stone — 9.5 points
  6. Mathew Hagerty — One point (withdrew)

2025 Bristol’s Strongest Man Event Results

Below are the results of each of the five events contested in Bristol.

Press Medley

Each strongman pressed 110 kilograms for three reps, 120 kilograms for two reps, and a 70-kilogram single rep.

  1. Jimmy Ryan — Three in 49.82 seconds
  2. Tom Pearson — Two in 41.5 seconds
  3. Joel Lees-Massey — Two in 35.47 seconds
  4. Jack Carter-Taylor — One in 5.41 seconds
  5. Ed Stone — no lift
  6. Mathew Hagerty — no lift

Super Yoke Medley

With one minute on the clock, each strongman traversed 10 meters with a 340-kilogram yoke and another 10 meters with a 260-kilogram yoke.

  1. Tom Pearson — Two in 21.85 seconds
  2. Jimmy Ryan — Two in 29.03 seconds
  3. Ed Stone — Two in 29.81 seconds
  4. Joel Lees-Massey — Two in 36.25 seconds
  5. Jack Carter-Taylor — Two implements, 4.8 meters
  6. Mathew Hagerty — Two implements, two meters

Deadlift

Strongmen established masx reps with 280 kilograms.

  1. Joel Lees-Massey — Five reps
  2. Jimmy Ryan — Three reps
  3. Tom Pearson — Two reps
  4. Jack Carter-Taylor — One rep
  5. Ed Stone — no lift
  6. Mathew Hagerty — withdrew

Wheelbarrow Medley

Each strongman traversed 10 meters with three ascendingly heavy weights for time.

  1. Tom Pearson — Three in 28.34 seconds
  2. Jimmy Ryan — Three in 31.22 seconds
  3. Jack Carter-Taylor — Three in 33.81 seconds
  4. Ed Stone — Three in 39.09 seconds
  5. Joel Lees-Massey — Three in 42.66 seconds
  6. Mathew Hagerty — withdrew

Sandbag Shouldering

Strongmen established max reps with 130 kilograms.

  1. Jack Carter-Taylor — Four reps
  2. Tom Pearson — Three reps
  3. Jimmy Ryan — Two reps
  4. Joel Lees-Massey — One rep (T-fourth)
  5. Ed Stone — One rep (T-fourth)
  6. Mathew Hagerty — withdrew
