2025 Kalita Strongman Show Results

David Shamey claimed gold in Moscow!

The 2025 Kalita Strongman Show occurred in Moscow, Russia, on June 6, 2025. The contest featured eight athletes, all representing the home country, competing through five events: Dumbbell Medley, Axle Deadlift, Farmer’s Walk & Block Carry Medley, Truck Pull, and Stone Over Bar.

David Shamey stood atop the podium, scoring 37 of a possible 40 points. It was a dominant performance, as runner-up Valentin Akimov won silver with 28 points, two more than bronze medalist Dmitrii Samoilov.

  5. Roman Druzhinin — 20 points

  8. Ilya Chetvergov — Two points (withdrew)

2025 Kalita Strongman Show Event Results

Below are the results of each event contested in Moscow:

Dumbbell Medley

Athletes had 75 seconds to clean and press four dumbbells weighing 80, 90, 100, and 110 kilograms.

  1. David Shamey — Four in 19 seconds
  2. Roman Druzhinin — Four in 26.9 seconds
  3. Alexander Klokov — Four in 26.92 seconds
  4. Dmitrii Samoilov — Four in 47.03 seconds
  5. Valentin Akimov — Four in 58.13 seconds
  6. Dmitry Logunov — Four in 73.32 seconds
  7. Ilya Chetvergov — Three in 29.28 seconds
  8. Pavel Ivashkin — Two in 14.07 seconds

Axle Deadlift

Each strongman attempted to lift either 300 or 350 kilograms for reps. Lifting a single rep with the latter outranked any number of reps with the former.

  1. Dmitry Logunov — Six reps, 350 kilograms
  2. Alexander Klokov — Five reps, 350 kilograms
  3. Valentin Akimov — Three reps, 350 kilograms
  4. David Shamey — One rep, 350 kilograms
  5. Roman Druzhinin — Four reps, 300 kilograms
  6. Dmitrii Samoilov — Three reps, 300 kilograms
  7. Pavel Ivashkin — no lift
  8. Ilya Chetvergov — withdrew

Farmer’s Walk & Block Carry Medley

This medley comprised a 140-kilogram farmer’s walk and block carry with a 90-second time cap.

  1. David Shamey — Four in 34.91 seconds
  2. Dmitrii Samoilov — Four in 47.19 seconds
  3. Valentin Akimov — Four in 47.69 seconds
  4. Roman Druzhinin — Four in 47.81 seconds
  5. Dmitry Logunov — Four in 78.06 seconds
  6. Alexander Klokov — Two in 14.44 seconds
  7. Pavel Ivashkin — One in 15.04 seconds
  8. Ilya Chetvergov — withdrew

Truck Pull

The vehicle weighed 22,000 kilograms and was pulled for max distance.

  1. David Shamey — 2.84 meters
  2. Dmitrii Samoilov — 2.7 meters
  3. Valentin Akimov — 2.3 meters
  4. Alexander Klokov — no pull
  5. Roman Druzhinin — no pull
  6. Dmitry Logunov — no pull

Stone Over Bar

Athletes attempted to lift a 193-kilogram stone over bar for as many reps as possible.

  1. David Shamey — Four reps

  3. Valentin Akimov — Two reps
  4. Dmitrii Samoilov — One rep (T-fourth)
  5. Roman Druzhinin — One rep (T-fourth)
  6. Dmitry Logunov — One rep (T-fourth)
