2025 Persian Gulf Iron Man Results

Ramin Farajnejad wins gold in Kish Island.

The 2025 Persian Gulf Iron Man contest occurred on March 1, 2025, in Kish Island, Iran. Eleven athletes representing five countries clashed through seven events: Yoke & Duck Walk Medley, Overhead Medley, Power Stairs, Carry & Drag, Farmer’s Walk, Atlas Stones, and Squat & Deadlift.

The entire podium featured athletes representing the host country. At the helm wearing gold was Ramin Farajnejad, who scored 69 of a possible 77 points.

  2. Reza Gheitasi (IRI) — 67 points
  3. Mohammad Reza Tazehroo (IRI) — 58 points
  4. Malek Jafari (IRI) — 53 points
  5. Tristain Hoath (CAN) — 50 points
  6. Ali Fazeli (IRI) — 43 points
  7. Valery Savin (RUS) — 40 points
  8. Alexander Kurak (BLR) — 28 points
  9. Alexander Shpanov (RUS) — 20 points
  10. Matthew Riddall (ESP) — 12 points

Below are the results for each event contested in Kish Island:

Yoke & Duck Walk Medley

Athletes had 75 seconds to traverse the course with a 420-kilogram yoke and a 240-kilogram duck walk.

  4. Tristain Hoath — 32.6 seconds

  8. Alexander Kurak — 57.22 seconds
  9. Valery Savin — 24.15 meters

Overhead Medley

Each strongman attempted to lift four implements — 90-kilogram dumbbell, 145-kilogram log, 100-kilogram dumbbell, and 170-kilogram log — as fast as possible within the 75-second time cap.

Power Stairs

Athletes had 75 seconds to lift seven 220-kilogram implements, six 240-kilogram implements, and four 260-kilogram implements up a total of 17 stairs.

Each strongman was charged to drag a pair of 130-kilogram sacks and a sled 10 meters.

Each strongman traversed 30 meters with 150 kilograms in the fastest time possible within the 75-second time cap.

Each strongman squatted a 300-kilogram double, trap bar deadlifted 340 kilograms, and deadlifted 350 and 360 kilograms.
