The 2025 CrossFit In-Affiliate Semifinals concluded on Sunday, and the preliminary leaderboards are now live. Jeff Adler and Arielle Loewen are the unofficial winners.
Once the leaderboard is finalized in a few weeks, the top 11 men and women will receive invitations to this summer’s CrossFit Games in Albany, NY.
- Additionally, another 18 men and women will qualify through one of the 10 In-Person Qualifying Events (IPQE) this season, and one final man and woman will qualify through the online Last Chance Qualifier.

Remind Me
The public video review process is underway until May 9 at 5 p.m. PT.
As outlined in Rule 2.10a of the 2025 CrossFit Games Rulebook, anyone who has completed the 2025 Online Judges Course can review, judge, and assess each video by categorizing it as “good video,” “needs review,” or “unviewable” (indicating that the video cannot be viewed or does not match the correct workout).
- If a video receives “a significant number” of “needs review” votes from the public, it will be assessed by CrossFit, and a penalty may be applied. Conversely, if a video has no votes or a significant number of “good video” votes, it may be accepted on the leaderboard.
As for when the leaderboard will be finalized, CrossFit has stated it will be no later than May 19.
Worth noting: If a qualifying athlete has qualified via an IPQE prior to May 19, the athlete’s in-affiliate qualification will be backfilled. However, currently, nobody in the top 11 men or women has yet qualified.
6 Quick Takeaways from the Weekend
Who is Siria Meha?
While 10 out of the top 11 women’s names are familiar to the average CrossFit fan, there is one name that causes a double-take: Albania’s Siria Meha. She sits in second overall, with 40 points.
- Though unknown to many in the U.S., Meha has been competing since 2022 and had a breakthrough year last year when she qualified for the Europe Semifinals. She finished 32nd.
Pending video review, Meha might be one of two female rookies to qualify from the In-Affiliate Semifinals.
Greer Finally Does It
There’s nothing worse than missing out on CrossFit Games qualification by one spot, and nobody knows this better than Anikha Greer.
- The 22-year-old Canadian has missed the cutline by one spot three times as an individual in 2021, 2023, and 2024. In fact, this trend goes back to 2018, when she missed Games qualification by one spot as a teenager.
To rub salt in Greer’s wound, the only time she qualified as a teenager was in 2020, but the Age Group CrossFit Games were cancelled that year due to the pandemic.
Pending the video review process, it looks like Greer’s dad might have been right when he kept telling his daughter that “it’s inevitable” she will get to the CrossFit Games one day.
And nobody is more deserving of their spot.
Brute Men on Fire
Three of the top six men, unofficially, all come from the same training camp: Brute Strength.
Dallin Pepper leads the pack in third place, with James Sprague right behind in fourth, and Jayson Hopper, new to Brute this season, sits in sixth.
- Sprague’s performance is particularly noteworthy. Though he is the reigning Fittest Man on Earth, he has long been known to have a harder time with strength workouts, and two of the five In-Affiliate Semifinals workouts were serious strength tests.
While Sprague did show that he had closed the gap in strength events at TYR Wodapalooza in January, there were still some questions about how he would fare against such a big, deep field during the In-Affiliate Semifinals.
All this is to say, the strong Brute men keep getting stronger.
Tudor Magda is Back
After narrowly missing out on qualification for the last two seasons, Tudor Magda is well-positioned to return to the Games this summer.
Heading into the weekend, it wasn’t clear what to expect from Magda, as we haven’t seen him compete since last year’s Semifinals.
- He wasn’t at TYR Wodapalooza, he wasn’t at the Rogue Invitational, nor did he compete at the Mayhem Classic.
But Magda has been putting in the work. The 2022 Games rookie and former teenage champion currently sits in fifth overall and, pending video review, will return to the Games this summer.
Haley Adams Surprises
Like Sprague, Haley Adams’ well-known weakness has long been her strength.
- While she demonstrated at the Mayhem Classic that she has made strides and can handle “Heavy Isabel” — she placed sixth in the event — we weren’t sure how Adams would cope with the back squats in Event 1. Overall, the programming didn’t seem particularly well suited for her.
However, Adams is unofficially sitting in ninth overall (tied in points with Danielle Brandon) and completed Heavy Isabel 35 seconds faster than at the Mayhem Classic. Her time of 4:28 places her in 14th unofficially for that event.
Jonne Koski Misses by One (Again)
On the other side of the cutline sits nine-time Games veteran Jonne Koski. He is unofficially in 12th place, seven points behind Harry Lightfoot in 11th.
- If the leaderboard remains unchanged, this will mark the second consecutive year Koski misses the Games by one position. Furthermore, he also missed earning his invite by one spot at the Wodland Fest IPQE two weekends ago.
Koski is not on the roster for the French Throwdown IPQE next weekend, as he will be competing in the World Fitness Project’s (WFP) Tour Event I. Therefore, if the video review process does not shuffle the top positions on the leaderboard, it appears that Koski will have to wait until next year to become a 10-time Games competitor.
The Bottom Line
The leaderboard is still unofficial, and chances are some penalties will be doled out in the coming days.
But if it ended right now, the 19 veterans and three rookies – Meha, Greer, and Colin Bosshard – will be added to this summer’s CrossFit Games roster.
