This isn’t the first time Farris – now a 94 kilo lifter, formerly an 85 kilo lifter – has posted some ridiculous squat numbers. The founder of BlessTheGym.com and 2008 & 2012 Olympian is still in the running for a weightlifting spot in Rio, though that will depend on his performance in upcoming qualifiers and whether the United States is able to earn even a single men’s spot.
Our favorite part of the post, though, was Kendrick’s reminder to everyone that progress is to be celebrated despite your ability level. When a fan on Facebook commented that Farris’ squatting made their own look less impressive, he was quick to silence those sorts of comparisons:
