Tia-Clair Toomey Has Not Declined Her 2022 Rogue Invitational Invitation
The six-time Fittest Woman on Earth® Tia-Clair Toomey intends to attempt a seventh consecutive CrossFit Games title in 2023. In the interim, she will venture into Team division competition at the 2022 Down Under Championship on Nov. 18-20, 2022, at the WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong, Australia.
While it would be a lot of global travel to compete in Australia just over two weeks after the 2022 Rogue Invitational on Oct. 28-30, 2022, in Austin, TX, Toomey shared in a video on her YouTube channel that she has not declined her Rogue Invitational invitation. However, she is unlikely to compete in the elite Individual competition.
Check out the video below with her statement regarding participation at the 2022 Rogue Invitational and a workout with Saxon Panchik:

The workout with Panchik consisted of three rounds with a 21-21-nine rep scheme of strict handstand push-ups, chest-to-bar pull-ups, and clean & jerks. Toomey was still overcoming a back injury sustained before the 2022 CrossFit Games, though it wasn’t severe enough to keep her out of the gym or from racking up another Games title.

During her warm-up, the cameraperson inquired about Toomey’s intentions for the 2022 Rogue Invitational. She clarified that she considered doing the Legends contest rather than the elite Individual competition to give her back more time to recover.
I couldn’t decline my invitation.
Although Toomey doesn’t expect to compete in Austin, her spot will remain available should she choose to change her mind last minute. Toomey anticipates being in even better shape come the 2023 season, as she will not be carrying the 20 pounds of additional bodyweight she put on to compete for the Australian National Bobsled team.
As Halloween approaches, we’ll see if Toomey decides to vacate her Rogue Invitational title or if she will attempt to defend it.
