The 2023 African Weightlifting Championships occurred on May 11-20, 2023, in Tunis, Tunisia. All 20 bodyweight categories were contested (10 Men’s and 10 Women’s). Twenty-one countries were represented in the competition, 13 of which were represented across podiums. This contest served as a qualifier for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
