“2 Goats Walk Into a Gym” sounds like the beginning of a joke, but it was the title of Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s Aug. 8, 2023, YouTube upload. The seven-time Mr. Olympia champion’s training partner was eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman. The duo hit a workout at Gold’s Gym in Venice, CA. Check it out below:

Schwarzenegger and Coleman began their session with seated machine lateral raises. The two bodybuilding icons traded sets, with Coleman always getting one or two more than Schwarzenegger pushed him for. Schwarzenegger matched Coleman set for set before praising Coleman’s size and development.
They’re pumping up while you’re moving. I can feel them getting bigger and bigger.
Schwarzenegger led the second movement, a seated shoulder press machine for the front delts. Both legends completed three sets each. Next up was triceps training on a dip machine. While Schwarzenegger pumped up, Coleman pointed out how rare a moment like this is, even in a gym known as the “mecca of bodybuilding.”

They finished with biceps, an exercise they’re both known for, by doing machine preacher curls. The 59-year-old Coleman and 76-year-old Schwarzenegger both completed four sets before concluding the workout with a classic Schwarzenegger hand clasp similar to one he shared with Carl Weathers in Predator.

- Lateral Raise Machine — 3 sets of 15-20 reps
- Seated Overhead Press Machine — 3 sets of 15-20 reps
- Triceps Dip Machine — 3 sets of 15-20 reps
- Machine Preacher Curl — 3 sets of 15-20 reps
Rest for 60 seconds between sets or while a training partner performs their set.
Coleman and Schwarzenegger have shared more than gym space in the past. They have shared time onstage together and only not as competitors. Coleman won the 2001 Arnold Classic, which Schwarzenegger was a co-promoter of. Twenty years later, Schwarzenegger presented Coleman with the Arnold Classic Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2021 Arnold Classic contest in Columbus, OH.
