Full Schedule for the 2018 CrossFit Games Season Released

Written by Jake Boly, CSCS
Last updated on August 1st, 2023

CrossFit fans get ready, because CrossFit HQ just released the (almost) full schedule for the 2018 CrossFit Games Season. With the CrossFit Lift Off recently coming to a conclusion, athletes are now beginning to shift their focus on the 2018 Open Workouts. 2017’s season was filled with plenty of ups and downs, so we’re excited for what 2018 has in store.

The dates ordering of competitions throughout 2018 are in similar fashion to previous years, but there have been some changes within some competition, like Regionals. So whether you’re a fan, or an athlete, below are some important dates and information to keep in mind for the 2018 CrossFit Games season.

1. The Open

5 Weeks of Workouts

  • 18.1- Feb. 22-26
  • 18.2- March 1-5
  • 18.3- March 8-12
  • 18.4- March 15-19
  • 18.5- March 22-26

The CrossFit Open is the first step in the CrossFit Games season, and it’s the first stepping stone that selects which athletes will be heading to Regionals. These workouts are ceremoniously released on Thursdays at 5 PM PST, then athletes have four days to complete them before the Monday 5 PM PST deadline.

2. Online Qualifier (Teen & Masters)

April 19th-23rd

This qualifier is held for the top 200 Teenage and Masters level athletes from each division. Upon the conclusion of the four day competition dates above, the top 20 athletes from each division will earn a ticket to the Games.

2.5. Regionals

Dave Castro recently announced that we can expect to see changes for the 2018 CrossFit Games Regionals competitions. If you’re interested in reading more about the announcement, then check out this link. For those interested in the dates, venues, and locations, then scroll down.
