Coleman weighed in for the meet at 209.5 kilograms (462 pounds). He wore a squat suit and knee wraps for the lift. He positioned the barbell on his shoulders and removed it from the squat rack. He stepped back to take his position with the weight, using a moderate foot stance.

The official gave the rack command once Coleman returned to the standing position. The lift was approved, and the crowd cheered for Coleman’s efforts.
Aside from winning the Division II state superheavyweight championship, Coleman was bestowed the Outstanding Lifter award. At the time of this article’s publication, there is no word on whether Coleman will continue to pursue competitive powerlifting after graduating.
