The penultimate event of the 2025 Arnold Strongwoman Classic (ASWC) was the Timber Trial, which comprised two heavy log carries onto a sled that was then dragged across the stage to the finish line. Each log was worth one point, and each five-foot increment on the course was worth one point if a finishing time wasn’t secured.
Olga Liashchuck had a half-point lead over Inez Carrasquillo entering the event — the latter set a behind-the-neck record in the Big Jerk event earlier in the morning.

2025 ASWC Timber Trial Recap
Dixson was first to the stage and cleared the course in under 50 seconds without any issues. It gave the other competitors a sense of what was feasible and how to approach their heats.
Stower ran the second heat, and body weight played a significant factor. As one of the lighter athletes in the field, Stowers struggled to drag the heavy sled and could not finish the course within the time cap.
Murray, also one of the lighter athletes, struggled mightily through the sled drag but still cleared the course faster than Dixson’s time. Following her run, she fell to the ground, heaving for air.
Lyle reached the sled drag portion of the event by the 20-second mark. She leveraged her size to chip Murray’s time by under a second narrowly.
Belliveau was fifth to the floor and made speedy work of the logs. Her pristine technique on the sled drag and breath work achieved a time within 40 seconds.
Peacock blitzed the log carries in 14 seconds, and the sled moved quickly out of the gate. However, she couldn’t maintain momentum down the course and couldn’t beat any of the other completed times.
Underdown tossed the logs onto the sled after completing the carries in 15 seconds. She “was cooking” with the sled drag and cleared the course in under 35 seconds.
Roberts was on a strong pace, finishing the logs in 15 seconds. She chopped through the drag, crossing the finish line in under 30 seconds.
Jardine was the biggest athlete in the field, which hindered her in the log carries but helped with the sled drag. A stumble and fall during the drag cost her critical seconds that she couldn’t afford to lose.
Thompson was slower with log carries than most of her counterparts, behind on pace by about five seconds. The drag was slow and steady before stalling right before the finish line.
Carrasquillo had the penultimate run and aimed to put some distance between her and Liashchuck to overtake the top of the leaderboard. She was on the lead pace through the logs but couldn’t quite maintain a fast enough pace for the top time.
Liashchuck was behind the top pace and struggled to grip the handle for the drag and to get the sled to move. She slowed drastically toward the finish, hitching the sled across the finish line and conceding significant points to Carrasquillo.
