2024 Strongest Man on Earth (SMoE) Mitchell Hooper has three-peated in Columbus, OH, at the 2025 Arnold Strongman Classic (ASC). The Canadian strongman, who claimed the World’s Strongest Man (WSM) title in 2023, has been on a legendary streak of podium finishes, including three straight ASC victories.
Hooper’s third ASC crown ties him with four-time WSM champion Brian Shaw and 2018 WSM Hafthor Björnsson on the all-time ASC leaders list. Zydrunas Savickas still holds the record far and away with eight ASC titles (2003-08, 2014, 2016).
Hooper’s consistency has become his trademark, which he’s displayed ever since he ranked eighth in his WSM debut in 2022.

“The Moose” is on one of the greatest streaks of podium finishes at elite-level contests in the sport’s history. He has finished on the podium in his last 23 straight elite contests — of those, he won 15, silvered four, and bronzed four.
Hooper has won every major title the sport has to offer. In addition to his SMoE, WSM, and three ASC titles, he is the reigning two-time Rogue Strongman Invitational champion and the reigning Arnold Strongman Classic UK champion — a contest he first won in 2022.
There is little doubt that Hooper is currently the top strongman on the planet. Given his consistent resume, he can’t be denied some inclusion in the greatest-of-all-time (G.O.A.T.) conversation. Hooper is nowhere near close to the latter half of his strongman career, and if he continues the current streak he’s on, we might be witnessing an all-time great dynasty in the making.
