Inaugural WFP Tour Season Takes Shape

Written by Scott Freymond
Last updated on May 28th, 2025

As the 2025 CrossFit Games season reaches its midpoint with the In-Affiliate Semifinals and In-Person Qualifying Events, the World Fitness Project Tour’s inaugural season is just beginning to heat up.

The Pro roster was finalized in early February, with Laura Horvath and Jeff Adler rounding out the list of 20 men and 20 women. The online qualifier for Tour Event I concluded in mid-March, revealing the complete lineup of competitors who will participate in Indianapolis, IN, May 9–11.

  • Ten men and 11 women qualified to compete in the Pro Division alongside the 20 signed athletes.

At each tour event, the 30 Pro Division athletes can earn up to 500 points, with a minimum of 270. All 30 competitors will receive prize money.

The next 20 qualifiers will compete in the Challenger Division with a separate leaderboard and will also earn points (up to 250 for first place) towards their season-long total..

  • The top 20 point-getters at season’s end will receive a Pro Card for 2026, guaranteeing a salary and a spot at all live events in 2026.

The Challenger Online Qualifier I Results

A total of 212 men and 101 women tackled the qualifier. An additional 120 men and 62 women registered but did not submit a score.

While the Pro roster is packed with superstars, several notable names will compete as Challengers – a mix of experienced Games veterans and emerging stars.

  • Andrea Solberg and Colten Mertens took the top spots, after a score adjustment dropped Nate Ackerman from first to third.

Women:

  1. Andrea Solberg – Norway
  2. Ella Wilkinson – United Kingdom
  3. Anikha Greer – Canada
  4. Fee Saghafi – USA
  5. Lexi Neely – USA
  6. Lydia Fish – USA
  7. Linda Keesman – Netherlands
  8. Trista Smith – USA
  9. Jamie Simmonds – New Zealand
  10. Emily Rethwill – USA
  11. Vår Thurmann-Moe – Norway

Due to Emma McQuaid’s withdrawal from Tour Event I because of injury, an additional spot has been added to the Pro Division for an online qualifier. This will have big implications for points later in the season.

Watch out for challengers who placed 12–31 as well. Abbie Domit, Kyra Milligan, Shelby Neal, Hannah Black, and Jennifer Muir are all athletes to watch in this division.

Men:

  1. Colten Mertens – USA
  2. Aniol Ekai – Spain
  3. Nate Ackerman – USA
  4. Tola Morakinyo – USA
  5. Tanner Balazs – USA
  6. Dani Camacho – Spain
  7. Colin Bosshard – Switzerland
  8. Nick Mathew – USA
  9. Fabian Beneito Selles – Spain
  10. Chris Ibarra – USA

A number of well-known names finished between 11th and 30th on the men’s side, including Jorge Fernandez, Ty Jenkins, Jack Farlow, and Jack Rozema.

On top of the invite to Indianapolis, the top five men and women earned $1,000 each.

Invitations have been sent to the athletes. Those who decline their invitation will be backfilled from the online qualifier.

The Bottom Line

Check out the complete leaderboard for the Tour Event I qualifier. Fans are filled with excitement, curiosity, and anticipation as they look ahead to the competition next month.

Tour Event II will be held in Mesa, AZ, on August 29-31, followed by the WFP Tour Finals in Copenhagen, Denmark, on December 18-21.
