Tonio Burton won the 2025 Legion Sports Fest Pro in Reno, NV, on May 31, 2025, but many bodybuilding fans were talking about runner-up, Patrick Moore. Moore made significant changes in his physique to go from 10th place at the 2025 California State Pro in Anaheim, CA, the week before, to second in Reno.
Moore took to Instagram after the contest to reveal that, put simply, he trained a lot. After acknowledging his mistake to play the size game and enter the contest bigger, Moore got to work and trained five individual workouts per day.
Three cardio sessions per day and two strength training sessions the week in between. It was a hell of a grind, and I’m grateful to God for holding my body up through it.
—Patrick Moore
Moore performed over 30 individual workout sessions between the two contests.
Moore did not share the length of the workouts, but he achieved a 15-pound weight loss from 250 pounds in Anaheim to 235 pounds in Reno. The results were evident in the photos shared of the two contests. He had more definition and detail, especially in his lower body.
Even though he did not win the Legion Sports Fest Pro, Moore expressed more confidence heading into his next contests. In another post, Moore shared that his sights are set on the 2025 Tampa Pro, which will be held July 31 through Aug. 2 in Tampa, FL, and the Texas Pro in Irving, TX, on Aug. 8-9.
The rosters for those shows have not been released yet, but Moore needs to win a show by Sept. 14, 2025, to qualify for the 2025 Olympia in Las Vegas, NV, on Oct. 9-12. If Moore wins one of the two shows he’s targeted, that would leave eight weeks to prepare for the 2025 Olympia.
