In the coming weeks, Danielle Brandon will no longer be working with Coach El Senouvor of Brute Strength.
- Instead, coaches Adam Neiffer and Jesse Bifano will step in to help Brandon prepare for the 2025 CrossFit Games.
In 2021 and 2022, Neiffer and Bifano coached Justin Medeiros to two CrossFit Games titles, and over the past week, Senouvor and Matt Torres (Brute Strength’s CEO and owner) have assisted them with the transition.
- “Danielle and Coach El have worked really hard to prepare for a successful CrossFit Games this season,” Neiffer and Bifano told the Morning Chalk Up.
Neiffer went on to explain that, unfortunately, a month out from competition, Brandon needed a change in leadership.
- “Because Jesse and I work together with all of our athletes, but only have Justin scheduled to compete in Albany, we have the ability to fulfill a coaching role for another athlete at this year’s CrossFit Games. Both El and Matt Torres have been extremely gracious throughout the transition process over this last week,” Neiffer and Bifano said.
He went on to emphasize that both Senouvor and Torres are deeply invested in Brandon’s athletic journey and have been for a long time. They shared Brandon’s training priorities with the new coaching team and helped get Neiffer and Bifano up to speed on how they can support her success.
- “It’s been an awesome two years working with Danielle—nothing but positive things to say about our time together. Wishing her all the best, and excited to see how far Adam and Jesse can take her from here,” Senouvor told Morning Chalk Up.
While acknowledging that the timing is challenging, Brandon said she looks forward to the shift.
- “While it’s not ideal circumstances, I am excited for the opportunity to prepare and spend this last month with coaches I’ve respected for a long time. El and I put in a lot of hard work, and I loved the time I got to be one of his athletes, and am super grateful for his support,” Brandon told the Morning Chalk Up.
- “None of us planned to be in this situation, but here we are. Our goal for Danielle is simple: to help her compete at the highest level possible at the CrossFit Games in Albany,” Neiffer and Bifano said.
Neiffer continued: “As for Danielle’s long-term plans, time will tell. Our current coaching arrangement is until Sunday at the CrossFit Games, and until then, that will be all of our sole focus.”
