Over the weekend, the Asia CrossFit Championship wrapped up in Shanghai, China and big name athletes walked away with first place finishes. With the conclusion of the Asia CrossFit Championship this weekend, there are now only eight CrossFit Sanctional™ Events left for the 2019 CrossFit Games season.
Like every Sanctional competition we’ve seen thus far, the Asia CrossFit Championship was packed with action until the very final event.
[For more information about the remaining CrossFit Sanctional competitions, check out the 2019 CrossFit Games schedule!]
Men’s Top 3 Finishers
For the men, 3-time CrossFit Games athlete Brent Fikowski took home first place with a commanding performance. Fikowski, who finished 184th in the CrossFit Open, really needed this win to earn his ticket to the 2019 CrossFit Games. After placing first in almost every event, it’s safe to say Fikowski has bounced back well after his Open finish.

Women’s Top 3 Finishers
On the women’s side of the competition, Norway’s Kristin Holte and Iceland’s Eik Gylfadottir dominated the Sanctional competition from start to finish. Holte ended up bringing home first, however, she has already tentatively received an invite to the 2019 CrossFit Games via winning her country’s National Championship, so second place Gylfadottir will be receiving the invite.
