The 2019 ROGUE Invitational is coming to the Rogue headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. The ROGUE Invitational is a CrossFit Sanctional™ event that will run from May 18th through May 19th.
If you were a fan of how the 2018 Reebok CrossFit Games panned out, then get excited because the ROGUE Invitational will host the top 10 male and female athletes from the 2018 Games. Additionally, multiple legendary CrossFit athletes like Jason Khalipa, Dan Bailey, Kristan Clever, and many others have also been invited to compete.
The final competition spots were filled via a very competitive online qualifier. Details on the individual and team online qualifying process wrapped up earlier this month, and according to the ROGUE Invitational site, there were 772 men and 140 women who competed in the four workout qualification process. Similar to other Santctional events, the winners of the ROGUE Invitational will be guaranteed a spot at the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games this summer in Madison, Wisconsin.
It doesn’t stop there, though, there is also a cash prize. The winners of the male and female grouping will each earn a whopping $50,000 USD prize, and additionally winning an event earns athletes $5,000 USD. The prizes for all three divisions are more than $400,000 dollars.
