CrossFit Taps Tremblay to Lead Canadian Affiliates

Today, CrossFit announced that longtime Seminar Staff member and CrossFit Games veteran Paul Tremblay was appointed as the first-ever Country Manager for Canada to lead the 500 Canadian affiliates. The two-time CrossFit Games athlete is also co-owner of CrossFit NCR in Ottawa, Canada and has been on seminar staff for the past five years. 

• Tremblay: “I am extremely proud and honored to take on the position of Country Manager for Canada. The new direction, coupled with the core values of the methodology will make CrossFit unstoppable. I am here for the affiliates (old and new), athletes and community.”

One big thing: The appointment of Tremblay as well as a changing of the guard in France’s country manager shows a renewed interest by CrossFit corporate in the country manager positions. 

• Outside of the United States, affiliate numbers are highest in Brazil, Italy, Australia, Canada, and much of western Europe.
• There are at least 11 total country managers: Canada, France, China, Australia/New Zealand, UK/Ireland, Benelux, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Germany, and South Africa.
