How To Watch Tbilisi 2021 World Para Powerlifting Championships

The top Para powerlifters around the globe will converge on Georgia for the Nov. 27 through Dec. 5, 2021.

The Tbilisi 2021 World Para Powerlifting Championships (WPPC) are set to take place in Tbilisi, Georgia. The Junior World Para Powerlifting Championships (JWPPC) will begin on Nov. 27, 2021, followed by the Senior WPPC on Nov. 28, 2021. They will conclude on Dec. 5, 2021. For the second time ever on the World Championships program, the Mixed Team event will be held on Dec. 6, 2021.

A total of 475 Para powerlifters from 72 countries will compete in Tbilisi — 16 percent more athletes than the 2019 WPPC. The JWPPC will feature 55 athletes from 20 countries — a 22 percent increase in athletes from 2019. The Tbilisi 2021 WPPC will be live-streamed on the World Para Powerlifting website, and coverage will also be featured on their social media pages.

Below is the schedule for the 2021 JWWPC as of Nov. 11, 2021. All times are Georgia Standard Time (GST), which is nine hours ahead of EST.

Junior Men’s 49KG

  • Group B — 9 a.m. to 9:36 a.m.
  • Group A — 9:36 a.m. to 10:17 a.m.

Junior Men’s 59KG

  • Group B — 11:10 a.m. to 11:58 a.m.

Junior Men’s 65KG

  • Group A — 11:58 a.m. to 12:50 a.m.

Junior Mens’ 54KG

  • Group A — 11:58 a.m. to 12:50 a.m.

Junior Women’s 41KG

  • Group A — 4 p.m. to 5:05 p.m.

Junior Women’s 45KG

  • Group A — 4 p.m. to 5:05 p.m.

  • Final (two teams) — 12:37 p.m. to 12:50 p.m.
