IFBB Professional League Classic Physique competitor Logan Franklin is coming off a second-place finish to Mike Sommerfeld at the 2025 Arnold Classic Physique contest in Columbus, OH, in early March 2025.
Franklin finished 13th in the 2024 Classic Physique Olympia, but his performance in Ohio was a sign to fans and competitors in the division that his best days may not be behind him just yet.
In late March 2025, Franklin was a guest on Hany Rambod’s “The Truth” podcast. Franklin expressed gratitude for his performance in Columbus and optimism for the future.

I feel great. It’s a phenomenal feeling coming from such a successful weekend after, you know, so many speed bumps.
—Logan Franklin
Franklin recapped his overall career, which dates back to his days in the Men’s Physique division in 2014. He served in the United States Army before his bodybuilding career.
Franklin switched to Classic Physique in 2019. He has stepped on the Olympia stage six times between the two divisions. His best finish was seventh at the 2017 Men’s Physique Olympia.
After Franklin’s trip down memory lane, he and Rambod discussed the 2025 Arnold Classic, where Franklin was the dark horse of the contest. Rambod expressed that he is not a dark horse anymore and asked “The Texas Oak” what is next for him.
Franklin acknowledged that he still has to qualify for the 2025 Classic Physique Olympia but is still deciding which pro show to enter.
I need to take a step back and go breathe, family, boom, and then I’m going to go in.
—Logan Franklin
Franklin might wait until later in the season to step back onstage, his bold claim left little wiggle room:
We’re not going to try. We’re definitely going to qualify and be at the Olympia.
—Logan Franklin
The Classic Physique Olympia is will assume a new champion in 2025 due to the retirement of six-time reigning champion Chris Bumstead. Franklin has until Sept. 14, 2025, to win a pro show to fulfill his prophecy and compete for that championship in Las Vegas, NV, on Oct. 9-12, 2025.
