Get ready, because holiday season is prime time for the next iteration of #fraserfroningvstheworld. Do you and a friend have what it takes to beat two men with six individual CrossFit Games Championships between them?
On Friday, December 22nd, Mat Fraser and Rich Froning released workout 2 in their partner series that challenges athletes worldwide to take on their score/time. Workout 1 can be found here. And yes, the #fraserfroning time was beaten by several pairs of challengers, so don’t be surprised if the same happens here. After all, a bit more time to strategize and test will almost certainly help other elite athletes increase pacing and shave seconds off transitions.
Workout 2 is as follows; the Froning + Fraser team completed it in 16:09, which is the starting time to beat.
One partner working at a time, complete full round (21-15-9) back and forth.

Like the first, this contest seems to have a product tie-in, with the fastest pair getting select products from Yeti, the makers of coolers and bags popular in the fitness community.
For those who haven’t heard of the challenge before — or are wondering why Mat Fraser and Rich Froning are working out together at all — let’s go back a few months for context. Earlier in 2017, Fraser moved to Froning’s hometown of Cookeville, Tennessee, where’s he’s been living and training ever since. The two seem to be regular training partners, which bodes well for their prospects in future CrossFit competitions. After all, who better to push one of the best CrossFit® Athletes in history than, well, another one of the best CrossFit® Athletes in history?
We’re excited to see what Rich Froning and Mat Fraser come up with next. In the meantime, we’re pumped to see which pairs come close — or come out ahead — of the challenge time the two have already laid out.
