Nick Walker missed out on the 2023 Olympia due to a hamstring injury. “The Mutant” booked himself a ticket to the 2024 Olympia with a win at the New York Pro and, if his most recent physique update is any indication, Walker plans on redeeming himself.
- Walker feels like this year’s underdog in the Men’s Open division. On Aug. 19, he dared the bodybuilding community to, “keep counting him out.”
Recent photos show Walker’s legs looking better than ever. He’s known for being one of the biggest bodybuilders in the Men’s Open line-up, but is his lower body enough to secure a top-five finish at the “O”, or maybe win the Sandow outright?
Nick Walker’s Legs: 3 Weeks Until the 2024 Olympia
Walker revealed two recent photos of his leg muscles in the end-game stages of his bodybuilding contest prep on Sep. 15, 19, and 21 2024:
“Bring your legs up,” Walker sarcastically captioned one of his physique updates, fueling speculation that “the Mutant” may have a chip on his shoulder about his reputation alongside the men who run the room at the Olympia.

Walker’s legs look sharp, but they historically have not been a particularly strong element of his physique. At the Arnold Classic in 2021, seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger made passing remarks on the prominent varicose veins in Walker’s calves, a condition Walker has battled to mixed success in years since.
- According to the Mayo Clinic, varicose veins are “bulging, enlarged veins” with dysfunctional or damaged valves, preventing them from transporting blood back to the heart. The propensity to develop varicose veins is hereditary and in most cases they are not a health concern.
At the Olympia, Walker will have to contend with reigning champ Derek Lunsford, newcomer Martin Fitzwater, and everyone in between if he wants to battle it back to fifth or better in the Men’s Open division.
If the rest of his body matches or exceeds the condition of his legs, Walker might shock the stadium — not to mention his competitors.
The 2024 Olympia runs from Oct. 10 to 13 in Las Vegas, NV.
