The 2016 Reebok CrossFit Invitational featured a max snatch event, but it looks like Team Australia competitor and multi-time CrossFit Games athlete Kara Webb had her best lifting in the warm-up area.
Before taking the stage in Toronto, Webb snatched 220 pounds (100 kilograms) for a 10 pound PR. She ultimately snatched 200 pounds on the competition floor for Team Australia.
The video of Webb’s warm-up PR was just posted on the CrossFit Games Facebook page (video from their page is embedded below). And we’re lucky one of their videographers was backstage to capture the action.
It’s a snappy looking lift, done in Reebok Nanos. Webb is known to often avoid wearing lifting shoes in preparation for unknown events that might involve multiple types of movements.
Looks like it’s not holding her back too much at all.
Team Europe ultimately won the 2016 Invitational, marking just the second time in the event’s history without a Team USA overall victory.
