The strongest men in the world are returning to familiar stomping grounds for one of the biggest showdowns of the year. The 2024 SBD World’s Strongest Man (WSM) competition is set to return to Myrtle Beach, SC, from May 1-5.
The time and place were announced on Dec. 8, 2023, via a press release and posts on SBD World’s Strongest Man’s official Instagram and YouTube channels. Check out the video reveal below:

Though the roster has not yet been announced, fans will undoubtedly be hungry for a return of reigning WSM champ Mitchell Hooper, as well as two-time WSM victor Tom Stoltman. Evan “T-Rex” Singleton and Tom’s older brother, Luke Stoltman, are fellow past competitors who stand to bring their A-games back to Myrtle Beach.
2024 World’s Strongest Man
Per WSM’s official announcement on YouTube, the host city and venue may be the same, but not everything is consistent. The event will still take place at the Oceanfront at Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place.
However, the 2024 WSM set-up is going to be different. There will be only one stage compared to the two stages featuring action in 2023. The event will also have three seating areas designed to provide in-person audience members with a more streamlined and accessible live viewing experience.
There will be a screen in the Fan Fest for fans and the general public who miss out on tickets but are able to partake in the free festival area.
As for the competition itself, the four-day schedule will include two days of qualifying events and a high-adrenaline, two-day Final.
