Two pro bodybuilding shows were taking place on two different continents on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022. The 2022 Legion Sports Fest was being held in Reno, NV, but first was the 2022 Tsunami Nutrition Cup in Rome, Italy. Three IFBB Pro League divisions were showcased, including Men’s Open, Men’s Physique, and Bikini. The men’s open show was the feature attraction, and the top five for that contest are as follows.
2022 Tsunami Pro — Men’s Open Results
- James Hollingshead
- Alfred Chiriac
- Marc Hector
- Enrico Hoffman
- Milan Sadek
Winner — James Hollingshead
Hollingshead was coming off a third-place finish at the 2022 Arnold Classic UK contest in September. He looked for redemption and an Olympia qualification that came with the victory. He had little trouble taking the overall win in this contest. He appeared to be one of the biggest men in the lineup, and his front poses were very impressive. His quads were the strongest feature of his lower body, while he appeared more ripped in the upper body than he did at his last contest.
This is Hollingshead’s third career pro victory, and he qualifies for the Mr. Olympia for the third straight year. However, if he competes at the 2022 Olympia, it will be second appearance on the sport’s grandest stage. He finished 13th at the 2021 Olympia in Orlando, FL, last October.
Second Place — Alfred Chiriac
Chiriac placed seventh in the Arnold Classic UK but placed much higher in Rome. He appeared to hold less water underneath his skin, and his muscles appeared fuller. Hollingshead’s size and experience were too much to overcome. Chiriac showed a lot of potential to build upon for the rest of 2022 and the 2023 season.
Third Place — Marc Hector
Hector was coming off a fifth-place finish at the Arnold Classic UK. He looked similar at this show as he did there, which didn’t help his cause. Hollingshead improved, Chiriac looked much better in Italy, and Hector landed in the bronze spot in the standings as a result.
