2023 CrossFit Quarterfinals — Individual Workouts Released

The 2023 CrossFit Open resulted in worldwide wins for second Fittest Woman on Earth® Mallory O’Brien for the Individual Women’s division and Jeffrey Adler in the Individual Men’s division. The top 10 percent of athletes across the globe at the conclusion of the Open qualified for the virtual 2023 Quarterfinals.

On March 16, 2023, the five tests that comprise the 2023 Quarterfinals for Individuals were released. Athletes must submit the video recordings of the workouts to CrossFit at the following times:

  • Quarterfinal Workout One — Due Friday, March 17, 2023 at 3 p.m. EST
  • Quarterfinal Workout Two — Due Friday, March 17, 2023 at 3 p.m. EST
  • Quarterfinal Workout Three — Due Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 3 p.m. EST
  • Quarterfinal Workout Four — Due Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 3 p.m. EST
  • Quarterfinal Workout Five — Due Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 3 p.m. EST

2023 CrossFit Quarterfinals — Individual Tests

The workouts below can be performed as many times as each athlete desires. They will only be scored on their official submission to CrossFit.

Test One

  • Nine Front Squats — Men: 225 pounds | Women: 155 pounds
  • Nine Handstand Walks — 25 feet
  • 15 Front Squats — Men: 185 pounds | Women: 125 pounds
  • 15 Muscle-Ups
  • 21 Front Squats — Men: 135 pounds | Women: 95 pounds
  • 21 Chest-to-Wall Handstand Push-Ups

Time cap: 15 minutes

Test Two

12-minute AMRAP:

  • Eight Dumbbell Snatches (arm one)
  • Eight Overhead Walking-Lunge Steps (arm one)
  • Eight Dumbbell Snatches (arm two)
  • Eight Overhead Walking-Lunge Steps (arm two)
  • 40 Crossovers

Men: 70 pounds | Women: 50 pounds

Test Three

Five rounds for time:

  • Five Burpee Box Jump-Overs
  • One Clean & Jerk

Add one clean & jerk after each round.

Men: 275-pound clean & jerk, 30-inch box | Women: 185-pound clean & jerk, 24-inch box

Time cap: 10 minutes

Test Four

20-minute AMRAP:

  • 1,000-meter Row
  • 50-GHD Sit-Ups
  • 500-meter Row
  • 25 V-ups

Test Five

  • 21 Deadlifts — Men: 315 pounds | Women: 205 pounds
  • 21 Chest-to-Bar Pull-Ups
  • 15 Deadlifts  — Men: 315 pounds | Women: 185 pounds
  • 15 Bar Muscle-Ups
  • Nine Deadlifts — Men: 315 pounds | Women: 205 pounds
  • Nine Rope Climbs — 15 feet

Time cap: 15 minutes

Workouts for the Team and Age Group divisions will be released on March 23, 2023.
