We’re another day and another hint closer to the 2018 Reebok CrossFit Games. Last night, Dave Castro shared yet another look into this year’s CrossFit Games. For those who love watching elite athletes sprint and throw themselves over logs and ramps, then you’re in luck, because the obstacle course is back.
In Castro’s Instagram post, he highlights an obstacle course over five different pictures and says, “The o course is back. But in a different way.” Now the question is, what does he mean by a different way?
Well, last year the o-course was spread out much further than what’s highlighted in his last post. Also, Castro tagged the Marine Corps, which we’re guessing is because the course itself is setup similar to what you’d find for Marine Corps training (but that’s only a speculation though). Check out the photos below for yourself.

In addition to being on the topic of different this year, we’re wondering if there’s going to be a unique twist to this course, as we have seen a more ‘sprint’ focused o-course before, and that was at the 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games when athletes raced through the o-course at the Camp Pendleton School of Infantry.
As of right now, there’s still no word on when the o-course will take place and for whom, or if it will be coupled with anything. Last year, the o-course stood alone and was held on the second day of competition, and in 2012 it was a stand alone event on the first. When you factor in this aspect, it’s interesting to consider what Castro means by “back in a different way”.
