The Granite Games wrapped up on Sunday at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota. CrossFit athletes Travis Mayer, Emily Rolfe, and Team CrossFit Krypton all picked up big wins.
The Granite Games is one of the last CrossFit Sanctionals™ events ahead of the Games this August, and just one of the three Sanctionals held in the United States. The Championship featured the athletes that made it through the Granite Games Throwdown in January and the Granite Games Open this past April.
Men’s Pro Winner: Travis Mayer
Mayer, a four-time CrossFit Games athlete, took home the men’s pro division with 712 points. He beat out Brent Fikoski, who finished in second place, and Nick Bloch, who took home third. Mayer and Fikoski have already qualified for the Games which means Bloch earns the official invite.
Mayer’s best finish over the weekend was his first place finish in the hill sprint with a time of 1:59.030.
Oh hey there! Travis Mayer would love it if you came out for the awards ceremony at 5 PM in the National Hockey Center atrium!

Women’s Pro Winner: Emily Rolfe
Canadian Emily Rolfe is officially Games bound! Rolfe finished in first place with 736 points. She earns her first Games invite after a stellar performance this past weekend.
Rolfe earned two wins in the longest mile event and the 3-3-1 event. Carrie Beamer finished in second place and Andrea Nisler took home third.
Pro Team Winner: CrossFit Krypton
CrossFit Krypton finished with 1598 points to take home first place, however the CrossFit Games invite will be passed down to Team Invictus X since CrossFit Krypton has already previously qualified.
Team Invictus X finished in second place with 1558 points, and RPM Central Beasts took home third place with 1504 points. It was a team of Sam Dancer, Kristi Eramo, Margaux Alvarez, and Holden Rethwill that helped Team Invictus X make a splash after just falling short in third place at last month’s Brazil CrossFit Championship.
Lowlands Throwdown Recap
The Lowlands Throwdown in the Netherlands also wrapped up this weekend. The top female finisher was Alice Mille, the top male finisher was Ryan Sowder, and the top team was Team Barbells Prepared.
The final CrossFit Sanctionals event is the French Throwdown which takes place June 28th through June 30th in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France.
