Tia-Clair Toomey and Mat Fraser have once again proved that they are the fittest on earth. Tia-Clair Toomey is now the first three-time women’s CrossFit Games champion, and Mat Fraser is now tied with Rich Froning as a four-time CrossFit Games champion.
Toomey dominated the women’s individual field and finished with 1071 points. And Fraser, after losing the top spot on the leaderboard for a minute there during this year’s Reebok CrossFit Games, re-gained the lead to show everyone that he is still the fittest man on earth. Fraser finished with 984 points.
The final women’s standings:
- First place: Tia-Clair Toomey (1071 points)
- Second place: Kristin Holte (876)
- Third place: Jamie Greene (851)
The final men’s standings:
- First place: Mat Fraser (984)
- Second place: Noah Ohlsen (947)
- Third place: Björgvin Karl Guðmundsson (888 points)
Toomey was consistent throughout all four days of competition, and never once dropped from first place on the women’s leaderboard. Some of her highlight performances included Event 8 on Day 3 where she cleaned 265-pounds after passing the 260-pounds clean ladder. The women battled it out in the final event, The Standard, and in champion fashion, Toomey crushed the workout to close out her 2019 campaign on top.

The men’s final individual event followed the women, and in similar fashion the men took on The Standard. The Standard was a quick event (at least compared to the swimming event at the beginning of Day 4) and consisted of:
- 30 clean and jerks (Grace)
- 30 muscle-ups 30 snatches (Isabel)
- 135 lbs
Fraser pulled away with the final event win, and earlier in the day also won Event 11, which earned him the top spot over Noah Ohlsen who previously was leading the men’s leaderboard after Day 3.
It’s been a wild four days of action in Madison, Wisconsin. There were brutal cuts, historic feats, and at the end of the day the biggest names in the sport finished on top.
