3 Athletes to Watch for CrossFit Open Workout 20.5
Mat Fraser
Four-time Reebok CrossFit Games champion Mat Fraser sits in second place on the men’s overall leaderboard after four workouts. So far, 20.4 has been his best workout. He submitted a time of 14:22 which is good enough for second place on the men’s leaderboard for Open Workout 20.4.
We’re pumped to see how he tackles 20.5, and handles the Sanctionals™ season not long after the Open wraps up.
Jeffrey Adler
If you didn’t know who Jeffrey Adler was before 20.4, you surely do now. The Canadian CrossFit Games athlete posted an insane 12:41 time for 20.4, which moved him up to third place overall on the men’s leaderboard.
He appeared in his first Reebok CrossFit Games this past summer, and has had a killer Open so far. After placing 44th in 20.1, he finished in 6th place back-to-back for Open Workout 20.2 and 20.3.
Sasha Nievas
22-year-old CrossFit Regionals athlete Sasha Nievas just made everyone else’s 20.4 scores look silly.
Nievas finished 20.4 in an insane time of 11:05 to claim the fastest time and earn her first place for Open Workout 20.4 With that performance she now sits at 34th overall on the women’s leaderboard after four workouts.
