How To Watch Adam Bishop Vs J.F. Caron Deadlift For Reps World Record

This coming Saturday, July 11th, the 2020 Britain’s Strongest Man champion Adam Bishop will take on 7-time Canada’s Strongest Man Jean-François (J.F.) Caron in a one-on-one deadlift for reps challenge. This battle will be the main event of episode ten of World’s Ultimate Strongman’s (WUS) “Feats of Strength” series.

Each strongman will attempt to deadlift 400kg/882lb for as many reps as possible in 75 seconds with the goal of setting a new deadlift for reps world record.

This will be the fourth time that the deadlift discipline is featured in the “Feats of Strength” series. The first was 2018 World’s Strongest Man (WSM) champion Hafthor Bjornsson’s 501kg/1,104lb heaviest of all-time deadlift. The most recent was the Masters deadlift showdown between Terry Hollands and Mikhail Shivlyakov. In between, there was another deadlift for reps challenge between Jerry Pritchett and Rauno Heinla.

Bishop vs. Caron will be live streamed via CoreSports.world at 12pm EST / 5pm UK.

In the Pritchett vs. Heinla challenge, both men lifted all of their reps in the first 30 seconds of the 75 allotted. Ultimately, Heinla came out ahead of Pritchett by a single rep with a final score of 5-4. Heinla’s five reps also tied the world record and is the target to beat for Bishop and Caron.

Bishop and Caron will be on camera at their own gyms in Britain and Canada, respectively, and will therefore be lifting at different times due to being in different time zones. Another factor to be on the lookout for is the kind of plates that each strongman decides to use.

4-time WSM champion Zydrunas Savickas will be the official referee and will ensure that the plates used by each athlete are accurately weighed. For Pritchett vs. Heinla, Pritchett used calibrated plates while Heinla used bumper plates.

Both Bishop and Caron have been training to put on a show this Saturday. We’ll see if either strongman is able to best Heinla’s five reps and the record books to win the deadlift for reps challenge.
