  • Total — 778 kilograms (1,715.2 pounds) — All-Time Junior World Record

Johansson beat silver-medalist Timothy Monigatti of New Zealand via the tie-breaker of lesser body weight. Monigatti officially weighed two-tenths of a kilogram more than Johansson.

The podium for the Men’s 74-kilogram class is as follows:

  1. Carl Johansson (SWE) — 778 kilograms (1,715.2 pounds)
  2. Timothy Monigatti (NZL) — 778 kilograms (1,715.2 pounds)
  3. Taylor Atwood (USA) — 777.5 kilograms
