How To Watch The 2024 EPF European Classic Junior Powerlifting Championships

This is the second edition of the fast-growing event.

Last updated on September 27th, 2024

The 2024 European Powerlifting Federation (EPF) European Classic Junior Powerlifting Championships will be held in Pilsen, Czechia, from Oct. 5 to 13, 2023. The event will feature classic lifting only ( commonly referred to as “raw”) and will showcase 384 young athletes in the Sub-Junior (ages 14-18) and Junior (ages 19-23) categories.

This is only the second time the European classic Juniors have had their competition. The category was introduced in 2015 in a combined Sub-Junior, Junior, and Open championships. Still, the format grew too large, and the EPF gave the classic Sub-Juniors and Juniors their contest in 2023.

The Sub-Junior lifters will compete on the first four days and then pass the baton to the Juniors, who will fill out the remaining five days. This event will be streamed on the European Powerlifting YouTube Channel.

This contest occurs only five weeks after the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) World Junior Powerlifting Championships. Many of these athletes will have had a very quick turnaround to compete again.
