Results and Standings: 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games Day 2

Catch up on all the excitement from Day 2 in Madison!

Athletes were tested right off the bat on Friday morning with a 6,000-meter ruck run. The men and women were grouped together during this event, and added the same amount of weight throughout the course. The ruck run cut the individual field to 40 men and 40 women, and the second individual event of the day, the sprint couplet, slimmed the playing field even more to 30 athletes.

Here are all of the results after Day 2, including event winners and overall standings heading into Day 3!

Event 4: Team Ruck

  • For time: 6,000-m ruck run, adding weight each lap (Women start with 15 lb/ Men with 20 lb)

Time cap: 40 minutes

Results:

  • First place: Team JST Compete
  • Second place: Invictus X
  • Third place: Invictus

Event 3 Ruck: Individual Women

  • For time: 6,000-m ruck run (20-30-40-50 lb., increasing each lap.
  • (Athletes ran 4 laps of 1,500-m course, adding weight each lap.)

Time cap: 40 minutes

Results:

  • First place: Emily Rolfe
  • Second place: Tia-Claire Toomey
  • Third place: Kristin Holte

Event 3 Ruck: Individual Men

  • For time: 6,000-m ruck run (20-30-40-50 lb., increasing each lap.
  • (Athletes ran 4 laps of 1,500-m course, adding weight each lap.)

Time cap: 40 minutes

Results:

  • First place: Lukas Hogberg
  • Second place: Joshua Wichtrup
  • Third place: Uldis Upenieks

Event 5: Team Strongman’s Fear (Cut to 11 teams)

  • For time: 132-ft. handstand walk
  • 132-ft. Worm lunge
  • 132-ft. handstand walk
  • 132-ft. Big Bob march
  • 132-ft. handstand walk
  • 132-ft. Snail push, in ♀♂ pairs

Time cap: 16 minutes

Results:

  • First place: Mayhem Freedom
  • Second place: CrossFit Krypton
  • Third place: OC3 Black

Event 4 Sprint Couplet: Individual Men 

For time:

  • 172-ft. sled push
  • 18 bar muscle-ups
  • 172-ft. sled push

Time cap: 6 minutes

  • First place: Matt Mcleod
  • Second place: Noah Ohlsen
  • Third place: Will Moorad

Event 4 Sprint Couplet: Individual Women 

For time:

  • 172-ft. sled push
  •  15 bar muscle-ups
  • 172-ft. sled push

Time cap: 6 minutes

  • Second place: Colleen Fotsch
  • Third place: Meg Reardon

Event 5 – Mary: Individual Men
Complete as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes of:

  • 5 handstand push-ups
  • 10 single-leg squats, alternating
  • 15 pull-ups

Time cap: 20 minutes

Results:

  • First place: Noah Ohlsen
  • Second place: Mat Fraser
  • Third place: Jacob Heppner

Event 5 – Mary: Individual Women
Complete as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes of:

  • 5 handstand push-ups
  • 10 single-leg squats, alternating
  • 15 pull-ups

Time cap: 20 minutes

Results:

  • First place: Karissa Pearce
  • Second place: Kristin Holte
  • Third place: Jamie Greene
