October 12, 2022 by Phil Blechman

The 2022 Dubai Fitness Championship (DFC) will be held on Dec. 2-4, 2022. It will be the 10th edition of the contest. The competition recently dropped CrossFit from its name as it is no longer an officially licensed CrossFit event, but that doesn’t mean it won’t feature some of CrossFit‘s top athletes competing for the high-stakes six-figure prize payout.

An online qualifier was held to determine invites for the 2022 DFC. All forty of the initial invitations offered were accepted, confirming the entire male athlete and female athlete rosters.

The 2022 DFC will be the last premiere competition for elite CrossFit athletes in 2022. A month and a half before the 2022 DFC is the 2022 Rogue Invitational, scheduled for Oct. 28-30, 2022, at the Dell Diamond Stadium in Austin, TX.

The 2023 CrossFit season kicks off on Feb. 16, 2023, with the 2023 CrossFit Open. Per announcements made on Oct. 11, 2023, regarding updates for 2023, the Last Chance Qualifier is no more and will not determine final entries to the CrossFit Games. All qualifications for the 2023 Games will be issued through the Semifinals taking place across the seven recognized regions: each continent except Antarctica, with North America broken into East and West regions.
