Luke Richardson Is The 2023 Giants Live England’s Strongest Man Champion

Richardson defeated 11 of his fellow strongmen in Doncaster.

The 2023 England’s Strongest Man contest came to a close on Oct. 1, 2023, in Doncaster, England, and Luke Richardson emerged victorious over 11 of his fellow countrymen across five events during the single-day contest.

Scoring 56 of a possible 60 points, Richardson stood atop the podium after finishing in the top two of the Log Lift, Axle Deadlift, Sandbag Steeplechase, Super Yoke, and Power Stairs. Below are the full results:

  1. Luke Richardson — 56 points
  2. Kane Francis — 46.5 points
  3. Patrick Haynes — 46 points
  4. Paul Smith — 42.5 points
  5. Andrew Flynn — 37.5 points
  6. Jack Osborn — 36.5 points
  7. Mark Felix — 28.5 points
  8. John Harker — 28 points
  9. Josh Brown — 19.5 points
  10. Shane Nye — 19 points
  11. Ben Glasscock — 15.5 points
  12. Ben Williams — 11.5 points (withdrew)

Log Lift

This event was for reps with a 140-kilogram log.

  1. Luke Richardson — Nine reps (T-first)
  2. Jack Osborn — Nine reps (T-first)

  4. Paul Smith — Eight reps (T-third)
  5. Shane Nye — Eight reps (T-third)

Axle Deadlift

Using an axle bar, each strongman attempted to lift 320 kilograms as many times as possible.
