The 2023 Giants Live World Open (GLWO) contest occurred on Sept. 2, 2023, in Cardiff, Wales. The five-event, single-day contest featured the 2023 World Deadlift Championships (WDC), highlighted by world champion powerlifter Jamal Browner‘s competitive strongman debut.
Fourteen athletes competed in the 2023 WDC, but only 11 competed in the remaining four events to contend for the top of the 2023 GLWO podium. Evan Singleton of the USA claimed the crown, scoring 42.5 of a possible 55 points.*
The five contested events were the Max Deadlift, Dumbbell Ladder, Load & Push, Wrecking Ball Hold, and Atlas Stones. Check out the full results below:

The 2023 WDC was a max deadlift event featuring lifts in rounds of 400, 430, 455, and 470 kilograms. Athletes were allowed to lift equipped with lifting straps.

The Dumbbell Ladder featured weights of 80, 90, 100, 110, and 120 kilograms. Each athlete had a 75-second time cap to lift them as fast as possible.
