2022 CrossFit Open — Workout 22.2 Revealed
Workout 22.2 for the 2022 CrossFit Open was announced on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. EST by the five-time Fittest Man on Earth® Mat Fraser in the live announcement broadcast on the CrossFit Games YouTube channel. For workout 22.1, 2022 Wodapalooza champion Patrick Vellner competed against Noah Ohlsen and Danielle Brandon squared off against her teammate, Bethany Shadburne.
For Workout 22.2, the reigning Fittest Man on Earth® Justin Medeiros competed against Saxon Panchik and 2021 Dubai CrossFit Championships winner Laura Horvath went head-to-head with Emma Lawson. Athletes’ scores worldwide will be posted to the CrossFit Games leaderboard.
22.2 CrossFit Open Workouts
Athletes have until Monday, March 7, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. EST to submit their workout videos for review. Watch the full announcement of Workout 22.2 in the video below:

Time cap: 10 minutes
Age Groups 55-59, 60-64, and 65+ for Rx’d divisions perform the same workout as above except men use 185 pounds and women use 125 pounds for the deadlifts.
Girls 14-15 use 95 pounds and Boys 14-15 use 135 pounds for the deadlifts.
Foundations
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 reps for time of:
- Deadlifts — Men: 75 pounds | Women: 55 pounds
- Bar-Facing Burpees — athletes may step over the barbell

Girls 14-15 use 55 pounds and Boys 14-15 use 75 pounds for the deadlifts.

There is one more workout in the 2022 CrossFit Open to go. It will be announced at the following time:
- Workout 22.3 — Live from Hendersonville, TN, and Reykjavik, Iceland
- Announced — Thursday, March 10, 2022, 3:00 p.m. EST
- Submissions Due — Monday, March 14, 2022, 8:00 p.m. EST
The 2022 NOBULL CrossFit Games will be held Aug. 3-7, 2022, in Madison, WI. Five-time reigning Fittest Woman on Earth® Tia-Clair Toomey, who made the Open Workout 22.1 announcement, will attempt to become the all-time winningest Individual athlete in CrossFit history should she qualify for the Games.
