How To Watch the 2021 Pan American Weightlifting Championships

Weightlifters will compete from Nov. 3-7, 2021, in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

The 2021 Pan American Weightlifting Championships (PAWC) are set for Nov. 3-7, 2021, in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Delegations will arrive on Nov. 1, 2021, and the competition will kick off on Nov. 3, 2021. The competition will be live-streamed via the Pan American Weightlifting Federation (PAWF) YouTube channel.

2021 Pan American Weightlifting Championships Schedule

The 2021 PAWC schedule is as follows — all times in EST:

Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021

  • Men’s 55 Kilograms — 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Women’s 45 Kilograms — 3 p.m to 5 p.m
  • Men’s 61 Kilograms — 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021

  • Women’s 49 Kilograms — 11 a.m to 1 p.m.
  • Men’s 67 Kilograms — 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Women’s 55 Kilograms — 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Men’s 73 Kilograms — 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 5, 2021

  • Women’s 59 Kilograms — 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Men’s 81 Kilograms — 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Women’s 64 Kilograms — 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

USA Weightlifting — 2021 Pan American Championships Roster

Below are the USAW rosters for the 2021 PAWC:

Women’s Roster

NoteAs of Nov. 3, 2021, Jessie Stemo withdrew from competition due to a back injury in training. 

The 2020 Pan American Championships were a medal festival for the USA Weightlifting (USAW) women’s roster. Five different Women’s weight categories featured an American atop the podium in 2020, including Cicely Kyle (45KG), Jourdan Delacruz (49KG), Meredith Alwine (71KG), Mattie Rogers (81KG), and Sarah Robles (+87KG). Additionally, Taylor Wilkins won bronze at 59 kilograms, and Katherine Nye earned silver at 76 kilograms.

Kyle, Delacruz, and Robles will not defend their titles as they declined their invitations. Likewise, Rogers will not defend her title at 81 kilograms. However, Rogers did accept an invitation to compete at 76 kilograms alongside Nye.

  • Darrel Barnes — 61 kilograms
  • Ryan Grimsland 67 kilograms
  • Jordan Wissinger — 67 kilograms
  • CJ Cummings — 73 kilograms
  • Jacob Horst — 73 kilograms
  • Beau Brown — 89 kilograms
  • Nathon Damron — 96 kilograms
  • Ryan Sester — 102 kilograms
  • Keiser Witte — +109 kilograms

CJ Cummings, at 73-kilograms, was the lone gold medalist for the USA. Harrison Maurus (81KG), Nathan Damron (96KG), and Jason Bonnick (102KG) earned bronze medals, and Caine Wilkes won silver in the +109-kilogram class. Wilkes, Maurus, and Wes Kitts declined their invites to compete in Ecuador.
