How To Watch The 2023 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships

The IPF's flagship event is set for a June 11 kickoff in St Julians, Malta.

The International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) 2023 World Classic Championships are set to get underway in St Julians, Malta, from June 11-18, 2023 The event is billed as the biggest-ever IPF Classic World Championship — over 400 athletes representing 65 different countries comprise the roster.

The IPF will livestream every session of the competition for free on the Olympics YouTube channel and on the IPF’s Facebook page. Two sessions will be broadcast live on Eurosport, with further highlights packages being broadcast to millions across Europe and Asia.

The IPF has adopted a “Prime Time format,” with the eight best lifters in each weight class lifting in the evening session and the rest (the B groups) lifting in the morning or afternoon sessions. The lifters are ranked on their nominated totals, which represent the athlete’s best result in the last year.
