Editors note: This article has been updated to clarify that the International Online Qualifier is an event hosted and organized by Sanctional™ organizers and not CrossFit, Inc.
On August 21st, the first workouts for Week 1 of the International Online Qualifier (IOQ) will be released.
As of right now, the IOQ will be used by four Sanctionals™ events this season. So far, these Sanctionals include,
- Wodapalooza CrossFit Festival (February 20 – 23, 2020 in Miami, Florida, U.S.)
- The CrossFit Atlas Games (April 3 – 5, 2020 in Montreal, Canada)
- The SouthFit Challenge (December 20 – 21, 2019 in Buenos Aires, Argentina)
- The CrossFit Filthy 150 (November 22 – 24, 2019 in Dublin, Ireland)
The IOQ is not technically a CrossFit event, as it is hosted by Sanctional organizers; winners of Sanctional events may receive invites to the Reebok CrossFit Games.
It won’t be much of a surprise as to what the first workout for Week 1 will be, since last week Wodapalooza announced the opening workout of the IOQ on their Instagram page. This announcement was revealed by a live workout featuring some of the biggest names in the fitness community.
The IOQ first workout:
9-minute as many reps as possible (AMRAP)
- 3 Hang Power Snatch 75/55
- 3 Overhead Squat 75/55
- 30 Double Unders
